Our practical guide to Product Engineering, helping to build high-impact products with smaller, autonomous teams in the age of AI.
About the guidebook
For the last few decades the software industry has operated on a hand-off model. Product managers defined the What, designers defined the How and software engineers were the specialised mechanics who translated requirements into code.
These traditional roles and the walls between ‘thinking’ and ‘doing’ are collapsing. LLMs and agents are turning the ‘doing’ into a commodity. So, when writing code is no longer an engineer’s primary source of value, a new kind of engineer emerges: the Product Engineer. One who brings a ‘product mindset’ to everything they build.
Our practical guide covers what Product Engineering is, the tooling stack that supports the role, the skills they need and what the role looks like in practice in a product team. Download for free, or request a printed copy.
